Da Vinci Code

On one of our free days in Paris Wallaby Travel will be offering a guided walking tour to the sites from the bestseller!

These tours are only available to those on our Escorted tours.

The tour starts on Place Vendome, in front of the Ritz Hotel - where key figure Robert Langdon's adventure begins - and then you proceed on foot to the Louvre.

You will pass the Tuileries Gardens and while walking through your guide will position the story. This story is based on a theory that Mary Magdalene was the mother of Jesus' children, and that these same children have throughout the ages formed a sect long denied by the Catholic Church.

A one hour tour of Le Louvre which delves into the Grand Gallerie where character Jacques Sauniere's body was positioned as Da Vinci's Vetruvian Man, and many of the book's clues are revealed.

You will learn more about Da Vinci's Madonna of the Rocks and Mona Lisa. You can debate the secrets many people believe were painted by Da Vinci into his works. You visit to the museum will finish at the inverted pyramid where Mary Magdalene is theorized to have been buried.

From the Louvre, you will walk to the St Sulpice church where more of the book's enigmas will be unveiled. You can follow the steps of Silas, see the Obelisk and Rose Line and your guide will share with you more of the many mysteries associated with this church.

This tour will open your eyes and minds to the brilliance of the various arts, sites, and theories of the book. Your guide is an expert on the Da Vinci Code and is a licensed and certified guide able to conduct tours in the Louvre.

Duration: 3.5 hours.

We strongly suggested to read the book in advance as our guide will assume participants to have done so.
